Steven Lloyd Neal, MD: A Renaissance Man.
Neal is a practicing head and neck surgeon, facial plastic
surgeon, and talented artist who lives and operates a
medical clinic in Pendleton, Oregon. Before training
as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Neal was first an artist.
It was his art background that attracted him to facial
plastic surgery. Noticing the strong similarities
between the two fields, Dr. Neal has continued his artistic

Statement:
"My patients who come to me want perfection. I have
worked for many years to create perfection in my
work. But I tell my patients the only way I can
guarantee perfection in their face is if it were
made of clay, because flesh and bone has a mind of
its own. It is a living and imperfect medium in
which to do art. Still, combining physical
limitations with the latest in surgical techniques,
there is a possible maximization of perfection
within each patient's face. That perfection is my
goal. There is within facial plastic surgery a
comforting and compelling reason to trust one's face
