Itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, even asthma; allergies, or hay fever, can cause all of these irritating and sometimes debilitating symptoms.  If you have these symptoms and are ready to do something about it, our clinic can help.  We offer allergy testing and immunotherapy, the only proven method to actually reduce allergies, as well as allergy counseling.

Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy
There is no cure for being allergic, but immunotherapy is the nearest medical science can achieve.  While other forms of allergy treatment simply suppress allergic reactions, immunotherapy is the only form of treatment that treats the underlying cause of allergic reactions.   After being tested for different common allergy inducing substances, including animal dander, the patient is periodically vaccinated with the allergen in ever increasing doses causing the immune system to modify its response to the allergen; the same philosophy is used in other common medical vaccines.   Sublingual therapy (SLT), exposure to the allergen via a dissolving tablet under the tongue, has promising results, but insurance companies still have problems with it.

Immunotherapy has been shown to produce long-term remission of allergic symptoms, reduce severity of associated asthma and even reduce the chances of new allergies developing.  The process is highly cost effective and a high majority of patients experience increased quality of life, including less fatigue, less sinus infections, and less illness.  Immunotherapy is also an important adjunct in controlling sinus disease.

Allergy Counseling
Our professionals are available to provide counseling on additional ways to reduce allergens in your environment.  Counseling regarding various prescription drugs used to treat allergies is also available.
